COMMUNITY POLICING: AWARENESS ENGAGEMENT & ACTION

Piloting in PA late 2021

Purpose: Redefining public safety and community policing by harnessing the knowledge and experience of a national coalition seeking to empower disenfranchised communities and individuals, increase self-reliance and positive reinforcement, and build mutual investment and respect.

Project Description:
• Inform, integrate and establish adaptable community-designed interventions and solutions to public safety.
• Recruit, train, and compensate community-identified liaisons and shepherd a co-design process with law enforcement and community based organizations.
• Reframe public messaging about law enforcement by generating public awareness and community engagement opportunities.
